History

Ellis R. Ivory, founder of Ivory Homes, began developing communities in Utah over 40 years ago. Initially we developed only lots, selling to both individuals and Utah home builders.

In 1983, Ivory Homes started building homes in their own developments. On November 27, 1987, Ellis registered the Ivory trademark, UTAHâ€™S NUMBER ONE HOMEBUILDER. At that time, we were not the largest volume builder of new homes in Utah, we did not have the most locations, and there were improvements we wanted to make. With this trademark, he also made it clear that we would be committed to quality real estate in Utah for the long term future.

Ivory Homes has sold over 14,000 homes in the 23+ years as Utahâ€™s Number One Homebuilder some of those homes have been custom homes. Ivory Custom Homes originally started as a service that we provided for friends and family of Ivory Homes but has now grown into a division of the company that provides services for homeowners that want to do something more custom.

New Projects

In addition to custom homes for individual families, we are also building homes in luxury communities, with semi-custom floor plans available.

The Mountain Villas collection at Red Ledges features floor plans that range in size up to 4100 square feet. Owners can choose from four unique signature models, including two single family homes and an attached home. The Bridger, Rockwell, Fremont, Reynolds, and Cahoon plans are each built with all-natural exterior materials that blend flawlessly with the native landscape. The Mountain Villas, nestled against the foothills along the 6th fairway of Red Ledgesâ€™ Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, provide another refined homeownership option for discerning buyers looking for alpine elegance.

The Mountain Villas, which start in the $500â€™s, feature gourmet kitchens, luxury baths and elegant interiors along with several customization options, including built-in barbeques, deluxe lighting fixtures and audio/home entertainment features. The Mountain Villas will also include a luxury package featuring GE monogram appliaces, granite countertops and full decks with view of the Rocky Mountains.

The Bridger model home that was featured in the 2010 Park City showcase of homes is complete and ready for touring.
